Michael Pavia, PhD, is an experienced biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and energy sector scientist and executive. In addition to successful drug discovery and development experience, he has held operational roles in both large companies and start-ups and has 10 years of experience as a venture capitalist.

He most recently served as CEO of ULT Safety, a company developing novel diagnostic technology. Dr. Pavia was the Chief Technology Officer of Glory Energy, a company focused on using microbiology to increase oil field production.

 

Dr. Pavia was Chief Technology Officer at Millennium Pharmaceuticals, focused on improving the productivity of drug discovery and development through the use of new technologies; Vice President - Cambridge Research at Sphinx Pharmaceuticals, a division of Eli Lilly & Co; and held senior scientific positions at Parke-Davis/Warner-Lambert with a focus on CNS drug discovery.
 
Dr. Pavia earned a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania.
